Module 0: What is an online course?

For today, you should do (or have done already), the following:

1) Taken the online quiz that asks you, Are you ready to take an online class?

2) Read the syllabus and viewed the course schedule.

3) Completed the CSUSM online tutorial:
http://courses.csusm.edu/resources/webctOrientation.htm

4) Downloaded any necessary software (for free)
http://courses.csusm.edu/resources/students.htm

5) Take the Quiz 0 on WebCT by logging in to WebCT, clicking on the quiz icon, and selecting Quiz 0. See if you can easily take this quiz. The quiz will be based on the syllabus.

6) For those of you unsure about the appropriate “netiquette,” please consult the following websites.

Those of you continually violate these expectations will be dropped from the class.

8) Keep the syllabus near and dear to you! This is your Koran, Bible, Torah, Spellbook – whatever you believe in. Follow it, read it, live it.
